Herbes de Provence
Herbes de Provence is a mixture of dried herbs typical of the Provence region of southeast France. Romance your cuisine with our hand-blended, proprietary blend of sweet French herbs, flowery lavender, savory, basil, oregano, sage, sea salt and black peppercorn.
Herbes de Provence are used to flavor and enhance traditional roasted poultry, but widely used for grilled or baked mild fish (whitefish, cod, and tilapia), however is delightful on roasted or grilled salmon, vegetables, stews and even pot roast. May also be used sparingly to accompany yeast dinner rolls or mixed into sour cream or cream cheese to offer with raw vegetables or crackers.
Sue Ade, author and culinary master wrote a marvelous piece on the beautiful uses for Herbes de Provence and her love affair for southern France and Italy too. Follow this link for a delightful read. http://mns1.morris.com/mns.morris.com/Special_Pages/Food/080607/080607Food.pdf
