Fall and Winter Spiced Cider & Wine

Nellie’s Hot Spiced Cider

Orange peel, cinnamon, cloves and allspice are blended as a perfect mix for making Spiced Cider or Wine.

Ingredients:

Half Gallon

Apple Cider

One Ounce

Nellie’s Lavender Mulling Spices

One 6”

Cinnamon Stick

Directions:

Combine cider and mulling spices. Heat to just below boiling point.  Reduce heat, cover pot and simmer for 30 minutes.  Add cinnamon stick. 

Optional: Add one ounce brandy or rum or 2 drops doTERRA On-Guard essential oil.

 

Nellie’s Hot Mulled Wine

Orange peel, cinnamon, cloves and allspice are blended as a perfect mix for making Spiced Cider or Wine.

Ingredients:

Half Gallon

Red Table Wine (Lambrusco or Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

One ounce

Nellie’s Mulling Spices

One Cup

Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice (or can substitute doTERRA orange peel essential oil – 2 – 3 drops)

One Quarter Cup

Brown Sugar

One 6”

Cinnamon Stick

Directions:

Combine all ingredients and heat to just below boiling point. Reduce heat, cover pot and simmer for 30 minutes. If desired, strain pieces of mulling spices before serving. Ann cinnamon stick. Garnish with orange wedge.
